S'mores Party Dip has all the magic of s'mores in a dip: golden marshmallows, melted chocolate, and crisp graham crackers-no campfire needed.

There's something magical about s'mores. Maybe it's the crackle of the fire as you roast a marshmallow to golden perfection, or the way the chocolate melts just enough to mingle with that sweet, gooey bite.

Why We Love This S'mores Party Dip

    • Sweet and Irresistible
    • Only 4 Ingredients
    • Quick and Easy to Make - a 15-Minute Recipe from Start to Finish
    • Stays Dippable at Room Temperature
    • Fun and Nostalgic
    • Serves a Crowd

    Why This Recipe Works

S'mores are one of the most loved desserts for camping trips and cookouts-but you don't need a campfire to enjoy them. This Easy S'mores Party Dip is the perfect way to bring all that gooey, chocolate-marshmallow goodness indoors for your next party, holiday, or family gathering.

The key to this s'mores dessert recipe is turning the chocolate into a silky ganache by melting it with a splash of heavy cream. That simple step keeps the chocolate smooth and dippable long after it cools, so your indoor s'mores dip stays irresistible from the first scoop to the last.

For the topping, mini marshmallows work best-they toast beautifully under the broiler and separate easily when you dip in with a graham cracker. The result is a warm, golden layer of fluffy marshmallows over rich, gooey chocolate, ready to be shared.

Whether you call it a s'mores dip, marshmallow dip, or indoor campfire treat, this recipe is just as fun and nostalgic as the original-and maybe even easier. Doesn't it sound perfect for your next get-together?

    So, let's cook!

    Ingredient Notes

The ingredients, clockwise from top left: Hershey's Milk Chocolate, heavy cream, mini marshmallows, and graham crackers.

Here's what you need to make this Smore's Party Dip:

    • Hershey's Milk Chocolate - This recipe has been tested with Hershey's milk chocolate for making the ganache that stays soft. There is a good reason why it is the favorite s'mores chocolate. It's sweet but not cloying... and is the quintessential s'mores chocolate. I buy two bars to get 12 ounces, one is Giant and one is XL, and the two together are about 12 ounces.
    • Heavy Cream - Heavy cream is added to the chocolate to melt it, also keeps the chocolate dippable as it cools.
    • Marshmallows - Mini Marshmallows make this dip easier to... well.. dip! They are small and create perfect dippable portions. I have also used regular sized marshmallows that are large (not extra large). But they do not melt much and the centers can be solid even after being toasted. If you do use regular marshmallows, cut them in half crosswise and place them cut-side down on the dip.
    • Original Graham Crackers - These are the perfect dippers for s'mores. I prefer the "originals" over honey graham crackers. The original version has molasses instead of honey and is less sweet. If you can't get graham crackers, you can use firm and crisp cookies too, such as plain shortbread or sugar cookies, or even chocolate chip.

Please see the recipe card for the exact quantities.

Step-by-Step Instructions for Smore's Party Dip

Process Photo Collage 1a-d - Making a chocolate ganache. 1a-Chopping the chocolate. 1b-Pouring hot heavy cream over the chocolate. 1c-Covering the pan of chocolate and cream with aluminum foil. 1d-Stirring the melted chocolate and heavy cream until it is smooth.

Make a Ganache. Finely chop the chocolate and place it in a pie pan or skillet. Heat the heavy cream to a simmer and pour it over the chopped chocolate. Do not stir.

Cover the pan with foil and let it sit for 3 minutes. Then stir gently for 2 to 3 minutes or until the chocolate is fully melted into the cream. The mixture will be thick and glistening.

Process Photo 2 - Covering the chocolate ganache with a layer of mini marshmallows.

Add Mini Marshmallows. Add a layer of mini marshmallows over the chocolate ganache.

Process Photo 3 - Broiling the s'mores dip until the mini marshmallows are golden brown.

Broil Marshmallow Topping. Set the oven broiler to low and broil for 1 to 2 minutes or until the marshmallows are lightly toasted. Watch carefully and turn the pan as needed as the marshmallows toast. It is only a few seconds, from the time the marshmallows begin to turn golden brown to when the dip is ready, so keep a close eye on the dip continuously.

Serve. Remove from the broiler and serve with the graham crackers in a dish or plate. Serve & Enjoy.

    My Top Tips

♡ A cheese spreader is a great tool for this dip! As the marshmallows cool, they stick together a bit. It is the perfect tool for separating them and spreading some dip on a graham cracker.

♡ Stir the cream into the chocolate until well combined. At first, it appears there is too much cream, but as you stir the chocolate and the heavy cream together, the mixture becomes well combined and smooth.

    Make-Ahead, Storage, & Reheating Instructions

    • Make Ahead: You can prepare this dip a few hours in advance, then broil and serve it. Prepare it, set it aside, and just before serving, pop it under the broiler.
    • Storage: Although this dip can be kept at room temperature for up to two days, refrigeration is best if you plan to store it for up to 5 days.
    • Reheating: You can gently reheat this dip in the oven at 250° for a few minutes. Do not microwave.
    • Freezing: Unfortunately, this dip cannot be frozen.
