Minty Kiss Hot Chocolate is smooth and creamy with just a kiss of Crème de Menthe. It is a perfect after dinner drink to have with… or instead of dessert.
Mix together the whole milk and heavy cream in a small, heavy bottomed 1-quart sauce pan and heat over medium heat.
1 Cup Whole Milk, ¼ Cup Heavy Cream
Add the chopped white chocolate to the hot milk and cream mixture and continue to cook it over medium heat, whisking constantly, until the mixture is hot and the white chocolate is fully melted.
4 Ounces White Chocolate
In a small bowl, beat the egg yolks with a fork and add ½ cup of the hot milk mixture to temper the egg yolks. Beat the milk and yolks well with a fork or a small whisk.

Add the tempered egg mixture to the saucepan and continue to cook and stir until the mixture is slightly thickened and smooth, about 8 to 10 minutes. The hot white chocolate mixture will coat the back of a spoon when it is ready. Do not let the mixture boil.
Remove the hot chocolate from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract and crème de menthe.
½ Teaspoon Vanilla Extract, 2 Tablespoons Dark Crème de Menthe
Immediately, pour into mugs or cups and top with miniature marshmallows or whipped topping.

Drizzle one teaspoon of crème de menthe over the topping of each mug and garnish with sprigs of mint. Serve & Enjoy!

SubstitutionsSubstitute Milk Chocolate for White Chocolate - Minty Kiss won’t have that lovely green color, but it will be very tasty with milk chocolate. Be sure to taste and reduce or add sugar if needed.Substitute Whipped Topping or Whipped Cream - Instead of mini-marshmallows a dollop or spritz of whipped topping or cream is delicious.
