Remove excess liquid from the pickle relish by pressing it through a strainer.
To a small bowl add mayonnaise, strained pickle relish, lemon juice, lemon zest, and fresh chopped chives.
Thoroughly combine all ingredients with a whisk or fork.
For the best flavor cover and refrigerate the sauce for at least 30 minutes before serving.
